Now anyone who knows a thing or two about the culinary arts, knows the relevance and significance of a pastry chef! She goes by the name Juju and she is the Head Pastry Chef at Cheetah Plains.

Ferroudja Menhouk joined our team in 2021 and plays this important role in our culinary brigade.

As a guest’s dining preferences at Cheetah Plains are an important part of your stay with us, one of the primary advantages of having a pastry chef in-house is that we have the expertise to create unique, from “scratch” made pastries and desserts as well as make and amend the particular and personalised dietary requirements (and special requests) of our guests. Particularly when it comes to the sweets.

Not only does Juju get to adorn your plate, and your appetite, with her flare for desserts from macaroons to milk tart, sorbets and ice-creams she too is responsible for the delectable drink stop snack menu on the game drives and our freshly baked breads every day.

Her motto is “never stop learning…” which is fitting for the exceptional knowledge of various ingredients, temperature requirements, creativity, decoration and presentation that indulges, even the most discerning, a gastronomic experience!
