Imagine the smell of freshly baked bread and an open fire, the night sky dotted with bright stars, warm hospitality in the heart of the bushveld … our meals are prepared from only the freshest produce and served in the natural splendour of Africa.

Apart from your safari experiences, food will be another memory to take home with you from Cheetah Plains. Our commitment to freshness means that our chefs use what’s available to serve up our creatively prepared, delicious and hearty South African fare.

The dining embraces the relaxed atmosphere of the lodge, and makes the most of delicious local ingredients, giving guests a true taste of South African cuisine.

We also offer a private dining deck in a secluded nook of the main lodge for those who wish to enjoy an intimate dinner under the African night sky.

In May 2012 we will be building a new highly modernised open-plan kitchen and moving the dining room to a new, prominent position. From here, you’ll have a fantastic view of our water hole while you enjoy your meal.
