Incredible, that just 2 weeks ago all of this was under water,  I thought to myself as the game drive vehicle wound its way around the narrow path.

The roads are drying out fast, but the scars are evident. The water table is also still high, causing springs in the veld and in some areas, the water is still running down the road in a little stream.
 
In the bush, it is business as usual. The game viewing is as spectacular as ever and the lush, green bush, ensures that there is plenty of food around for the animals.
 
We enjoyed a wonderful game drive and a special treat was when we encountered a pride of lions, consisting mostly of females and cubs, who were conveniently drinking from one of the roadside streams after feasting on a Zebra.
